The Hedley May Walk 2.0

Help us fundraise for Social Mobility – we’ll match every donation!

Dear Friends

On September 21st, the Hedley May team will embark on the final 50-mile leg of the Hedley May Challenge 2.0: our six-year walk from our offices in London, arriving in the great City of York late afternoon Friday 22nd.  As with every step of the journey, we have been raising money for social mobility and specifically for two wonderful charities: Making the Leap and The Prince’s Trust Explore Programme.

Social mobility remains such a critical issue – too many young people from disadvantaged backgrounds just do not get the chance to fulfil their potential.  But, with your support, we hope to smash our £200,000 fundraising target, and make a real difference to young people.  As an example, see Jack’s story here.

What is more, we will double your money – we will match every pound of your donation! You can donate here now.

We have worked with Making the Leap and Princes Trust Explore Programme for many years now and have seen first-hand the difference these charities make in helping young people gain confidence and secure employment – £15,000 will pay for 10 young people to be put through the Making the Leap Programme, and £10,000 for 10 to go through the Prince’s Trust Explore Programme.

Over the duration of the walk, many have taken advantage of our offer to gift to a relative, friend or school a training session of your choice from Hedley May. For donations that reach £300, we will give one-on-one interview training or career coaching to anyone of your choice, and for a donation of £600 or more, we would love to spend an afternoon with a team or school of your choice, providing interview skills, career coaching or training.

With very many thanks,
