The Hedley May Challenge raised over £105,000 for the Fairbridge Programme of The Prince’s Trust by walking the 270 miles from our City offices at Sun Court on Cornhill to Louis XIV’s ‘Sun Court’ in Versailles.
Now we are well into The Hedley May Challenge 2.0 with our team walking over 220 miles from London to York in celebration of our first US office in, you guessed it, New York!
Our trek continued on 5th October 2018 with stage 2 of the journey heading north from Royston station, passing west of Cambridge to St Ives and then through the Fenland to March in the Isle of Ely.
Wet, wind-swept and worn-out we got to March. As you can see we kept our spirits up despite the rain and wind as we crossed the fenland and finally got to our 2018 destination of March.
As before, we will be incredibly grateful for your support and Hedley May WILL MATCH EVERY DONATION YOU MAKE!
The Fairbridge Programme supports young people aged 16 – 25 with challenges such as growing up in care, mental health problems and or homelessness take their first steps back into education, employment or training. These are often life changing opportunities that build the personal, social and life skills needed to stabilise their lives and fulfil their potential.
“Fairbridge gave me back my life, but a much better life than I ever thought I would have had before. It gave me the opportunity to be me… I am now full of self-confidence and am studying to pursue a worthwhile career that I know I will love.”
